Experience & Expertise
As director of the University of California San Francisco’s Whole Family Therapy Program (2018 - 2024), I treated families from diverse backgrounds who came seeking support for a wide range of challenges, and trained over 50 of the next generation of mental health clinicians in how to harness the healing power of relationships.
My practice is an inclusive, affirming space for people to bring the complexity of their full selves. In addition to relationship therapy, I also work individually with adults.
Specialized Experience:
Recovery from traumatic events, loss, affairs, terminal illness of a family member
Pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood mental health (birth - 6yrs)
Family/couple changes (adoption, separation, divorce, blending families, opening relationships, etc.)
Navigating identity and love with LGBTQIA+, interracial, intercultural, or interfaith couples & families
Supporting neurodiverse needs in couples and families (ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Learning Disorders, etc.)
In-person and remote options
Limited availability for in-person sessions in Berkeley. Prefer virtual? Teletherapy is also a popular & effective option.
